Here are a few of my favorites from last week...

After my first few picks, I realized I was gravitating towards a theme of "simple pleasures".

First of all, I love these tips for taking some time for yourself and doing a little R&R. It doesn't have to break the bank or take a whole weekend. Sometimes it might just mean taking a nap! Lots of great tips in this post.
5 Ways to Take Time Out for Yourself During the Holidays // New Mama Diaries

Speaking of "time", here's another great post on managing your time during the busy holiday season. It's easy to lose track of time with all the added activities and events that take place during the last 2 months of the year. Keri shares some great advice for "achieving a more joyful, less stressful holiday season."

7 Time Management Tips for a Joyful Christmas // Growing in His Glory

Sometimes just the mere thought of hosting something at my house shoots my stress levels through the roof. Then, the actual get-together isn't as enjoyable as it could be because I'm so caught up in being the "Hostess with the Mostess". Victoria really helps calm your nerves with her tips for simple hospitality.

A link to {Part 1} can be found in her post.

After reading the above 3 posts, I felt like I could really kick back and relax a little bit. Maybe even have a little fun. My little man isn't old enough to read or understand rhyming clues yet but this post sounded like too much fun not to share. I love the idea of having a little scavenger hunt for the gift(s). I'm thinking this might be a fun tradition to do for a Christmas Eve present (even if the gift will probably be the pajamas...)

Christmas Scavenger Hunt // Stuffed Suitcase

Just the other day, me and a few other friends gathered together for a 2nd-Annual "Cookie Bake-A-Thon". It's always lots of fun (and pretty hot, considering we bake in a kitchen on the equator with no AC). On the plus side, we all walk away with lots of sweet treats. One of those treats were molasses cookies. My husband really seemed to enjoy those the most, so I'm glad Deanna linked up her recipe :-)

  • Hey there! Thanks for hosting another great hop; I just linked up! I'm loving Michael Buble's Xmas album (had it since last year). I see him every year in concert; I tease my husband that he's my boyfriend :o) I also love Rod Stewart's Christmas album. Anyhow, happy Friday, and have a great weekend!

    1. Back in the day, when I was still involved in dance (ballet, jazz, tap, you name it...), I did a dance to Michael Buble's "Feeling Good" song. Every time I hear the song, it brings back so many memories :-) Thanks so much for linking up each week! Looking forward to working with you next year!
